Born in 1964, in Paris. Helder Batista is self-taught. He lives and works  near Cahors.
He was strongly marked by the gap between the contemporary society and the condition of those which drive it.

The artist introduces the series " Flag Gun ", for which he is known, arm wrapped with flag, banner
of country which took weapons in the name of the constitution (2d American Amendment), of the
nation or the religion. He pursues his societal researches highlighting what questions the evolution
of the society, its nonsense, its abnormalities on the background of globalization, overconsumption,
hegemony … He does not look for explanation
